Wouldn't call it binge watching but I've been keeping up with the new war documentaries coming out on the u-tube lately. Kind of sad that they're all narrated by AI. Oh well, probably it does a better job of pronunciation than the idiots who assembled the video can manage.
check out two channels called HISTORIGRAPH and The Infographics Show

Not a big fan of the genre, but some are standouts, I'm a "Mike & Molly" fan, every single episode brings a smile to my face... Short of that, I'm "old school" Dick Van Dyke, Adam's Family, etc.

Thanks, probably seen those. The new shows I've been checking out are more along the lines of audio books. Some written by US servicemen and others by Japanese, or German. Been learning lots of interesting things that history books don't detail.

OK - you had to go there so I will too. Whenever I feel like I don't have enough worldly goods or enough money or a comfortable enough life I watch any Honeymooner's episode. I grew up in a tenement in Pittsburg and it was awfully close to the apartment in that show. 2-3 rooms, sink and kitchen identical, no A/C, etc.. Always makes me grateful for what I have.

I watched a lot of Westerns growing up. Paladin kicked ass! Watched a few of those on the u-tube recently, they're still good.

My favorite, even had the black holster with the knight on it in silver - and Richard Boone was a distant relative of Daniel Boone (in case you didn't know).

Some of those westerns sucked though, like Sugarfoot and Destry....
Gimme Paladin, Wanted Dead or Alive, etc.. Once Big Valley and High Chaparelle and the like came out the genre was ruined IMO. Bonanza was tolerable but not The Virginian...Gunsmoke was OK too

Not a true western, but Davy Crockett was a big deal in my yoot with me and the neighbor kids. I had the (fake) coonskin hat and a toy rifle like his.

But Gunsmoke was also a big thing back then, The Lone Ranger, Bonanza, and others that I cannot recall. I don't watch any of that stuff now.

I also had a coonskin cap, and a rawhide shirt. After Disney's frontier flick with Fess Parker, kids went nuts over the whole "get up"....

I'd forgotten that part, but yep, it sure became a thing.

"Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier."
