My mom went to get blood drawn as a pre-op procedure for her HAND <<< yes, HAND yesterday.

At the end of the visit they asked her to review the information they gave her.

She said "I can verify everything except the code used. I don't know what that code means"

Oh, that is for a blood draw for an upper respiratory infection.

Mom: "That's not what it's for. I'm having my hand operated on".

Oh, it doesn't matter, your insurance will pay it either way. It's not a problem

Mom: "It is a problem. I don't want an upper respiratory infection referenced on my chart."

So she will spend most of her day today fighting over this bullshit because the default for everything points to COVID these days.

All hospitals, Drs. etc knowingly falsifying documentation to imply a COVID connection when there is none should be charged with fraud. That goes for all politicians that endorse such actions also.
