How many sheets does it take to go down 12 floors ? Did they use fitted or flat? I assume they were twin size and not king?

Wonder how they amassed that many sheets and how they hid them in their cell?

I'd go with 4' per floor, just to be on the safe side

Probably 3 per floor at the most. HTF do you have 30-40 sheets missing go unnoticed?

I'd say 4 per floor. You lose length when securely tying them together. Having your bedsheet rope fall apart in mid escape would suck.

Understood but you’ve got over 6’ diagonally for each bed sheet and about 10’ for each floor. Accounting for knots, 3 per floor should be more than enough

As for the knot, I'd have used...

a sheet bend.

I'd 'a just put them on the beds. Overlaid. Each one atop the other.

Hidden in plain sight, don't cha know.
