Any brand has good and bad. The Explorer we traded in was 7 years old with 75,000 miles. I replaced the brake pads once and the tires once. It was never in the shop for anything.

I have a 2015 Explorer Sport. The 3.5 waterpump went out, injectors went out, transmission had to be replaced(prior to my ownership thanfully) ...now that its over 140k miles every sensor in the car is going bad...many that Ford doesn't have available.

Its been worse than any Corvette Ive ever owned and certainly not like my Toyotas. But I still like the way it drives and the looks... however the interior of my Caddy has opened my eyes to how plastic the Ford is.

With all that I will still probably buy another one
