One of my photos made Flickr "Explore"
A couple million photos a day are uploaded to Flickr and each day a few hundred are picked for the "Explore" section based on some algorithm about number of views, likes, etc. I've been posting photos there for 11 years and never had a photo make it but today this one did.
Here's a link to the Flickr Explore page. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gakins.../in/datetaken/ |

Used to live in Keller... YEARS ago, back when 1709 was a 2 lane road and the ONE supermarket was there (where the Milestone church is now). Lived in the duplexes on Bluebonnet right behind there...
MAN, Keller has grown since I lived there in 1992. |

We move her in 2001 after Grapevine got unbearably crowded and busy. Now Keller has exploded. Probably 10,000 homes built west of 377 in the past 10 years. Maybe twice that. All in Keller school district. I live in the far north part of town where you probably biked a lot. :-) |

Thanks! I was shocked. About 3 views and one fave late the evening I posted. Check the next morning and nearly 2k views! Approaching 6k now.
Wendy, if you ever want to get a shot of the skyline, let me know and I'll give you directions to the best spots, where to park, etc. The key is to go after heavy rains and on a calm evening if possible. Funny, it looks like such a beautiful location but far from it. Nasty overflow from the Trinity river after heavy rains accumulates in the "flooding basin" between the levees. Just happened to be there at the right time. Appreciate the comments! Here's one more from the same location. |
