On Wednesday next week the wife and I are taking the Vette on a mega road trip. We are departing Alabama and heading to Sioux Falls SD where we'll meet up with my brother and his wife who are driving over from Michigan. From there we're headed to the West side of SD and plan to spend 3 days visiting the badlands, Custer State Park, the needles, Mt. Rushmore, ect. From there we are heading into Montana where we have a cabin rented for 3 days. We'll use that as a base camp while we explore Yellowstone National Park. From there we drive down to the Cali side of Lake Tahoe for a 3-day long birthday party for my brother and his oldest son. After that it's back to 'Bama. Going to be a bit over 5300 miles when all is said and done.

Hopefully I can get some cool pictures!!

I must have taken over 100 long exposure shots like this one in different areas of the Smoky Mountains while we were there. I knew that by the law of averages at least a couple of them would come out looking decent. I think I could have done a much better job if I had a ND filter for my camera. Being as my camera is a P&S there's not much out there as far as filters for it!

Yeah,sometimes it takes a lot of photos to get that one you really like. Mine was a shell in the water I just stood up.....sometimes you get lucky lol
It's good to talk to the people that took these to find out a different way to try things.

Mine was zooming in just enough to make the falls the focus and waiting for the people below to get behind the rock to the right.
