I use the SoClean cleaner. Bought it about a year ago, but I've had a Cpap for over 15 years. Never had a health issue using it, but I've always kept it clean. I still hand wash my Cpap every week or so and use the SoClean daily. It's not so much a cleaner, but more of a sanitizer. I'm happy with it, especially knowing it kills any nasty stuff that could get in the system.

I wash the mask in mild hand soap and soak the hose every now and again. I have been using this method for years with no issue.

I used to sell oxygen equipment. It was ten years ago, so I can't remember exactly how often but there are set periods of time when you are entitled to new equipment as far as hoses, masks, etc. They usually will not automatically send it to you, but must provide it on demand. Check with your provider.
The cleaning devices they have now weren't on the market when I was in the business, so I can't make any recommendations there. We just used to tell people to put the stuff in a plastic container and hot water with a little Dawn and agitate and soak it once or twice a week. They are also coming out with new and improved products, like possibly a mask or nosepiece that fits you better, but again you have to ask for it. Visit their local office periodically if convenient and they will show you the new stuff. |
