So What Are The NYE Plans?
For the first time that I can ever remember, I will...by choice...be staying home by myself for New Year's Eve. I am a single person once again, I threw two parties for XMAS and Thanksgiving and I'm DONE. I'll be sitting on the couch, alone, binge watching James Bond movies and having grilled cheese and tomato soup. Happy as a clam.
Funny how as you age, your priorities become so different.  Anyone have any plans as exciting as mine???

Going to work late this afternoon. I work at a Strip hotel in IT. Property wants us on hand if anything decides to take a dump during the busiest time of the year. Taking my wife too. Don't plan on much happening so going to dinner at the property next door. Wander around there and then at my own property people watching and watching my wife have a beverage or 2.
Working on getting to a balcony to watch the fireworks at midnight. Right after midnight I'll be asking my wife to marry me again. Hope she says yes again too! Cheers to everyone! Hope you all have a happy and safe weekend. Happy 2017!

We're going to my mom and dad's. We have fun with fireworks, silly string and noise makers. The only down side is that we are on the road after midnight.
Mike, if my dad was doing better, I'd love to have you join us. We're a corny group, but you'd fit right in.

My wife & I will be watching TV, and probably fall asleep before midnight, although we'll try & make it. No party, no visitors, etc. Fine with me.
A lifetime ago, before I met my wife, I was dating some girl who broke up with me because I didn't want to take her to some ridiculously overpriced crappy NYE thing at some club where all of her shallow moronic friends were going. Looking back, probably the best thing that could have happened.
