Oh yes, its in my brain working. Have a nice plan.

This Windows 7 is not what I expected. The new software (PrintMaster 18.1) works good. I have to snap out of XP. I expected light year speed with 16GB of RAM but, is not impressing me at all.

The other thing I like a lot better with XP is putting names on pictures. In XP, when you download your pictures to the picture folder, you can move the pictures of something, say a cat, in a row, highlight the pictures, and you can name them all at the same time. In 7, if you move the pictures, they pop back to where they were originally. This is annoying when you trying to organize pictures.

The problem is through the years Microsoft and all other software companies have increase the size of programs to run each new gen of computer in parallel. Back when we had 3.1 we only needed 512k and a 40 meg HD, with W95 it was 64 mg and a 500 mg HD, with 98 it was 256 mg and a 1 gig HD. You see the software gets better and way more powerful than it ever was but they will never run any faster, IMO. Back when 95 came out the whole OS was about 12 meg new so the ram was efficient at 64 meg whereas 512k would have never kept up. It took 5 minutes to boot a computer back then and it takes 5 minutes to boot a computer today. Tweaking and adding ram does help but seems the more hardware I've added the more software I've added and so on.

Once thing for sure, this thing boots in no time. That I like

Geez, Adobe Photochop 9 gave me a headache. Too powerful for my intentions. OOOfff Good stuff but, I felt like all photo goals wanted to come out at once and my head crashed. Took three Excedrin migraine (defrag) to maintain the pace. This thing is amazing.

I used Gimp, Paint and PM to get this one done.

I'm getting worried, he's been strangely quiet for the last 1/2 hour. As a matter of fact, I'm freaking out

Judging by the Avatars, I would say mankind has left with the Four Horseman because it was too scary around here
