Tesla should take lessons from them. They keep getting fuglier.

I’d actually consider buying one. I’m not holding my breath.

As viable, long range utilitarian transportation? NOPE.
lol….. they’re everywhere here and we have -25c lows and -18 highs currently and it’s going to be colder

should not get an EV.
Let's try that again without your strawman exaggerations.

Those who...

a) want to tow anything ... EVER.
b) EVER drive over 150 miles in a single day and certainly not at anything faster than 75mph .. and don't want to add an extra 25%-50% drive time to their trip if they do.
c) want to take road trips, don't want to stop in every city, want to take the shortest route, and actually care about getting where they're going in a reasonable amount of time.
d) who drive to places other than home, work, Target, and Starbucks
e) who want to do do absolutely anything truck related with their truck
f) who don't want to spend hours eating gas station and fast food and can go more than 30 minutes without a piss break

should not get an EV.

Which covers about 99% of the population that doesn't worship at the church of Elon.

Gotta love that 100 miles is considered "long distance towing" in Tesla world.

a) BS, I tow things frequently. Several trips to Home Depot and the Landfill. Zero issues towing
b) BS, Indrove 242 miles at mostly 80 mph on a charge. Time it takes os no different than normal human beings stopping for food on road trips
c) Hour charging? I charged 2 hours and 1 minute for 992 miles. Gas car would stop at least 30 mins, so, 1.5 hours difference for anyone who doesn't eat or drink in 992 miles. Meanwhile, the number of people considering an EV as their next vehicle reached 50%

Newsflash for you: People who DO NOT drink 20 cans of diet soda per day DO NOT have to piss every hour.

I'm retired, so I spend a lot of days just hanging around my house doing stuff where taking a piss at pretty much any time is convenient. Even in that environment, I normally go at least 3-4 hours between visits to the bathroom to piss.

Your devotion to the cause was amusing for a while.

Now it’s just stupid.

Have fun sitting in parking lots.

Virtually all people I know, especially families with kids, will have food stops on road trips. As I said before, I have taken the same exact road trip (1350 miles each way) over 10 times, 8 times with gas vehicles and twice with EV and the arrival time at our destination was always about the same.

Pissy post.

Meanwhile, in Chicago.....
Teslas are clogging up a Chicago Supercharger station as freezing temperatures play havoc with EVs

Edit: Dupe of Red's above.
So what?
It's still relevant.
