Jokes on you, the 405 in the video is where I drive often.

Just this morning, a motorcyclist was killed when he ran over a ladder on the 405 as reported by the radio. The story I found doesn't state the reason.

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday in a crash on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in West Los Angeles.

The man, who was in his 20s, died at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 6:45 a.m. north of Santa Monica Boulevard, according to the coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol. Authorities withheld his name, pending family notification.

Two southbound lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted.

Maybe 5 years ago, some nitwits lost a extension ladder off the back of their pickup on a local 4 lane each way bridge.....I295 south of Jax....called the Buckman bridge over the St. Johns river......

I was over the tail end of that in the 10 O'Clock hour, Jeff covered it during morning drive while I was out fukin around all of creation twiddling my thumbs. Traffic was pretty dead everywhere else this morning..well, quieter than a normal morning at least. I did manage to find Station 51 from the Emergency! TV show while I was literally wasting company resources for my own personal amusement.


Oh, and as far as the pic, no biggy. Shit in this town looks like that at night all the time from the air.

The area in the video is LA County but I get what you mean.

Interestingly, though, I've been in places that "don't have traffic like LA," and they really do. They just have fewer lanes moving at the same slow pace. Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Austin, etc.

I drove the 405 in the video again this morning to drop off a couple at LAX. All I can say about a holiday and 0700 travel time....there's so much room for activities.
