It also is a raise in my taxes. Due to this stupid "Holiday" we now pay for most state and federal workers to get a ANOTHER day off with pay. I sure as shit get nothing out of this boondoggle.

I didn't say it should be.

All the days that banks, the post office, etc. get off with pay, in the real world these were just another work day. Most of us weren't even aware of them.

I had a good holiday, I had bought a table saw that a guy was selling for real cheap because the knob to raise/lower the blade wasn't working. I figured either a loose connector or stripped threads. Took the gamble and finally got bored enough today to get in there to take a look.
Very straight forward, thread on the knob's rod that a block rides on had worn down so it slipped. $11 in parts on the way and it will be right as rain. Saved me a few hundred bucks.
