I been in the keys drunk and stupid for a while. WTF happened to the market? Looks like a nice time to make those IRA contributions for all the self employed.

The Kung Flu has freaked investor's out. Hold off until Monday to buy anything. Given that the spread of the disease is still growing and Africa is only showing 2 cases my bet is the news will get much worse over the weekend.

SPY down about 15% from the peak of 2/18, AAPL down about 20%. Boeing down about 40% since it's peak last year, but that is a bitch slapping that has been a long time coming. Unfortunately, my wife owns that one with a pretty high basis.

I agree with the others above, the driver here seems to be Corona Virus panic, and it seems unlikely we will see anything other than more bad news for at least a week or two. I'm on the sidelines for now.

The CME is 100% sure the fed will lower rates between 25 to 50 BPS in early March.

6 months?
Throw a wild card new vaccine in and it'll be less than 2 weeks.

Dow up 1294 today. that was a nice bump if you were still invested. if not, you missed a 5% gain today.

Sold some puts this morning, has worked out well so far. Still on the sideline with underlying equity money. Volatility is high, that is the dinner bell for us options traders. YMMV.

my bank called me this afternoon. I was supposed to close on a zero cost refi for house two. they wanted to schedule closing, but needed an extra day to change the documents as rates changed. I was locked at 3.125%, but with the quick dip yesterday they got me down to 2.875%. woo hoo, that's about as close to free as I will ever get. knocking it down from 24.5 years to 20. can I get an amen

I have had three offers on land that I have for sale back in WNY this past week.
Radio silence for months, now they're coming out of the woodwork.
I accepted an offer yesterday
I also put 33% of my dry powder to work in our IRA on Monday. I'm waiting a bit until I go all in, but the market is looking pretty darned 💪.
