I agree with all of that. Then add in the fact that all that has to happen for the ship to start belching raw sewage into the cabins and hallways is to lose power for a few hours, and I decided that is one experience I will be happy to live my life without!

First class accomodations in a gently moving hotel along Europe's original highways. Tour a different city every day. Five star dining, three meals per day prepared using local ingredients.

Not cheap, but worth every euro. Money saving tip: most boats have three levels. The upper ones are the most expensive, and you save about $1000 for every deck that you descend. Since you won't spend a lot of time in your room, choose the lowest level.
