Stupid, stupid people...."host" somebody in your Florida home (and other states I suspect) and if things go sideways and they can produce a bill of some kind at that address (phone/cable TV/etc) - or a fake lease and the police won't get involved. It'll take months to go through the court system.

So bad in a few cases the owner(s) of the property had to move out while the squatters trashed their home. I wouldn't even let a lazy, no-load relative move in temporarily let alone some MS-13 illegals.

That happens in California too (surprise, surprise):



Cliffs: A bunch of squatters took over a mansion in Beverly Hills and turned it into a party house, with loud music and drunken partygoers at all hours of the night. When the Po-Po showed up, the squatters showed them a fake lease and so the cops went away.
