It was pretty flattering.

Then when we got to our table, my wife told me they ask everybody coming to the restaurant for their number for "contact tracing".

i was at the grocery today, and i passed an aisle and this lady pointed her finger at me, and then did the "come here" thing. ok.

she said she needed someone "tall, dark, and handsome". i looked around, well, 1/3 is decent batting average (i'm 6-5). she was about 4-10, mature (80ish I'm guessing), and couldn't reach the top shelf to get something she wanted.

You may not realize this, but you are a prime candidate for all kinds of poon. You are athletic, in good shape, are emotionally mature, financially stable, earn a decent living - in short, you're all the things that these man-bun-touting 20-somethings and 30-somethings are not. Women from their 20s on up would stand in line to date you.

When we arrived, there was about a 10-15 min wait for a table....wait outside, and they send a text when your table's ready. No problem there--they've been doing it that way for years. Well, maybe not the wait outside part....

While we were eating, the place cleared out a bit so people were seated immediately, but Mrs. V noticed that they were still asking for phone numbers. Bugs the crap out of me since it's one of our favorite restaurants.
