Shows you what a great investment a new Corvette can be if you only drive it to parades and car shows for 30 years.

I used to own an '87 vette, the seat was to narrow, sold it for 13k in '95 or so...

mine was a convertible, owned it 3 years or so.....wish it had the 17" wheels instead of the 16" but other than that, and the paint....it was decent....

I never cared for the C4 "Atari" instruments, but I guess in the 80's that digital stuff was the cats meow. I do like the later C4 digital/analog interiors however...

I have never understood why the C4 is bad mouth so much. GM sold a lot of them and I always thought they were good looking. I always see clean C4's at cruise ins and Cars and Coffee.

I remember when the C4 came out. I couldn't afford one then, but I sure wanted one. Compared to what the C3 had become at that point, the C4 looked like it was designed by NASA.

I'll go ahead and say it, I like C4's. I don't want to own one because they are electrical nightmares, but yeah, sitting in them is like being in a jet fighter. You practically wear the car. If they weren't genuine pieces of shit mechanically, I would have one in a second.

"Ceasefire Injection"

I think that was only the 84 though. I think the C3 82 had it as well.

Anyway, I really like 96 LT4's, and I thought it about it hard before I bought my '73 back in the day.

I had a late model C4, with the Selective Real Time Damping F45 option. Mine was Arctic White, which was fine since I was living in Southern CA at the time. Finally had to sell it due to my daughter entering college, and my wife and I relocating to Northern CA. I had 4 cars, so one had to go. I wish I would have gotten the Grand Sport instead. Fun car to drive nonetheless.

Had the Grand Sport as my first Vette, then the Z16 should have kept them both. The 07 and 08 Z06's were let me downs.

I still love mine as a matter of fact, just got back from a LONG cruise afternoon (Fairfax, Pr William, Fauquier, and Stafford counties - you prob remember this area well ) since today was ~60 degrees and I'm freakin ready for spring

Saw lots of Mustangs out but I was the only vette out there today...fine by me

BTW - LilRed (see below) has just under 169,000 miles today

I hope to add a '96 GS & '95 ZR-1 someday

I must be a glutton for punishment when it comes to C4 maintenance

Ron (Cuisinartvette) over at the other place had a C4 ZR1 back in the day, he told me that he beat on the thing hard and it never let him down...very reliable car.

I only owned one and it was a later model but it was dead reliable for the 15 years I owned it
