The Final Clarkson/May/Hammond TOP GEAR Is Airing In The UK...
The BBC got the crew to edit complete 2 of the last 3 major films, that would have made up the remaining episodes of Series 22, and they're airing the special, extended show tonight, with studio links from Hammond and May. Clarkson will only be appearing within the films.
One film features the boys challenged to live an "extreme" lifestyle in cheap, small 4x4s and in the other film take on the mantle of "auto enthusiasts" road tripping to a car show in some tatty small convertibles... No idea if BBC America will be airing this one, but the BBC warns that there will not be any reruns of the episode and it will not be included on the planned DVD/BR release for the series. |

If you're looking for it on YouTube, there is a ton of fakes being uploaded. Pay attention to the length of the videos, the actual show was 1 hour and 12 minutes long.

I've been watching Top Gear since 1995, long before Clarkson, Hammond and eventually May took it over, and I'll be watching the next version too.
I'm anxious to see the new Top Gear. I like the new host, Chris Evans (the BBC Radio DJ, not Captain America) who is probably best known as that guy who had all those white Ferraris in the garage when James May went to drive James Coburn's Ferrari 250GT California Spider. Evans is a true car enthusiast, and once they have found some co-hosts, I'm sure their version of Top Gear will be something entertaining to watch... hopefully standing on its own two feet and not trying to be a copy of the Clarkson/Hammond/May-era show. C-H-M has been a special thing. I think of it as an island of pre-PC dinosaurs, being dudes the way dudes used to be, in a completely harmless and humorous way. I look back at the cars they drove, the places they went, the ridiculous things they did and I remember the frequency with which my face and sides would be sore from laughing on a Sunday evening. But like new Top Gear, the new C-H-M show won't be exactly the same either. |
