Default Home sold.

Listed our house yesterday at 8am and by 2pm we had a full price offer with no contingency. I knew it would move fast but that was amazingly fast. The buyers said they would even allow us to choose the closing date since their agent was aware our new home being built was still a few weeks from being done. Now we don’t have to worry about the homeless part of moving.

That’s Wilson county, nothing but rock out here. The good thing is they will dump a lot of dirt and sod the place once they are done. I just don’t look forward to trying to plant any trees, ain’t no one digging holes through that rock.

Congratulations on your easy sale. Nice houses, both current & future.

When you got your full price offer so quickly, did it make you think that you should have listed it higher? We sold our house last year, & moved to a different one. When we listed the old one, the agent suggested a price, but we pushed for $10K more, based on what we were seeing in our area. We had 2 full price offers in 1-2 days, and another for $10K over the listing price a day later. So we ended up with $20K more than what the agent originally suggested. Made me think we should have asked for even more.

No. I asked for what I know the going valued are in my area. When the offer came in at full price and they said they will work with me on the closing date, that was the kicker for me. It is not about the money to me, just that I can go from this place to the next was a huge win in my book.

When I moved into my current house, things fell into place that way. It didn't sell as fast as yours, but that was good since current house wasn't completed. Closed on both the same day with the same lawyer.

I've only sold two houses in my life, they both sold on day one before a for sale sign was even posted. Houses sell when you ask the proper price for them.

My brother has had his house on the market for about three years and had one person look at it. It could have something to do with the fact that he is asking about 50% more than what it is really worth.

I forgot all about the arm. Thanks on the colors, we have done a lot of work the past couple years. I can't wait to get in and start working on the new place once we are moved into there
