Would you be ok with .GOV tracking your location?
Let's say, .GOV will change taxations and shift road tax for ALL vehicles from gas tax to a mileage/weight based tax. Would you have a problem having a .GOV GPS tracking device in your car so that they can track your mileage or would you have a problem with that?

Even better, how will they know it's even my odometer? I could go down to Carmax, test drive a car, snap a picture of the odometer, and send it in. How will they know it's not an old photo (metadata is easy to edit)?
This pilot program is going to be very interesting to watch as fraudsters find all the loopholes. |

gov needs to spend MUCH MOAR resources on cutting spending vs. trying to increase revenues.

On old cars, you can just disconnect the speedo and your odometer will stop..
That's why such way of taxation would never work. Also, old cars don't have an OBD2 port to plug in anything. I remember on my '68 Vette, all I needed to do is to reach behind the dash and unscrew the speedo cable.. Of course, you could unscrew it as the transmission as well.. |

Well, the argument behind it would be fair taxation that people are taxed based on the road wear they are causing. So, I'm generally not opposed to that approach but I'm in no way, shape or form in agreement to place a .GOV GPS device in my vehicle.

Sounds like an EV problem to me.
You took a EV item of contention and made it a global .GOV problem. Where did you train to become a Musk and Liberal poser? https://www.instagram.com/reel/C7zJ0...thNmNvZTF1Mw== |
