Default Pizza. What's you order?

For the heart clogger I go for the white pan with diced tomatoes and extra BACON!

The normal, is a thin crust brick oven Margherita.

BUT never forget the Pica's rectangular cheese on the bottom, red sauce on top!

Traditional Margherita from wood fired oven. Gotta have the real Mozzarella di Buffala, though

Been doing the Ooni thing lately using store bought dough from the deli section. Roll it out thin and put it in the oven when it gets to 750. Makes a good pie. Wife goes for basic pepperoni, but I like to put red bell pepper, onions, and anchovies on mine. Lots of fun to experiment with different toppings.

Always order the same as what I make at home:
Thin crust, Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms and pepperoni.

Made at home;

Ah, pizza. I remember you. Unfortunately I have not splurged in a very long time but when I did it was from a local shop called The Pie. The original shop was up near the University of Utah and was a great place for the group to hang out. Each slice weighed between one and two pounds. Any locals here will understand.

I get a take-and-bake pizza from the grocery store and add jalapenos, serranos, garlic, mushrooms, onions, green olives, a bit of Ragu sauce, and then more mozzarella cheese.

Columbia Inn in Montville NJ has best ever thin crust,we call it "paper plate" pizza.
When I order regular pizza up north it's from Tabor Pizza in Parsippany ...love it with onions !
Grandma pie up north in Denville is That's Amore !
Down here Marucas tomato pie on the Seaside Heights boardwalk rocks and regular pie (with onions) is Little Mias in Seaside Heights .

I don’t order pizza often, but if I do, it’s pretty much this. And only from this Neapolitan-style place; the oven was shipped over from Italy: http://ciao-osteria.com/

It’s preferable though that I make my own, as I can control my ingredients better, which means San Marzano tomatoes, Mozzarella di Buffala, and fresh basil from a friend’s garden.

Sometimes if I want a heartier meal out of it, I’ll add my Italian marinated grilled chicken or steak.

Bacon/ham/pepperoni on one half of thin crust.
Anchovies on the other half.

I can usually find some at Whole Food$.

When I lived in NY there was a better selection of imported stuffs at the local Italian grocery. San Marzano tomatoes, olive oils, etc. I got my pizzelle maker there also.

I wish I had my great-grandmother’s pizzelle maker though…forged iron with a cursive first initial of their surname on one side, an olive tree on the other side. Great-grandfather made it…was so heavy he turned it for her on the gas stove, she was like 4’10” and 90ish pounds.

I can get pretty close; they are always the first ones gone at a cookie exchange or party…but hers were the best. Could inhale dozens of them as a kid easily.

We only have Papa John and Domino's in my town. I usually drive about 15 miles to another town with a real mom/pop pizza rest. They have a real pizza oven vs the little conveyor belt cook it in 30 seconds papa john setup with fake cheese and toppings.

I've been to Chicago a few times and do love a deep dish from there. But, only they can make them. We have a Mellow Mushroom about 25 miles away. It's pretty good. I also liked Calif. Pizza Kitchen. But, it was 50 miles from me. I ordered different pizzas depending on which rest.

From Chiaro's Pizza in Green Lane, PA my go to is a simple mushroom with extra cheese.

If my wife's not sharing, it's anchovies

We have a local spot that makes thin crust pies... my fave is double sweet onions with extra cheese. Had a "supreme" from there last night... all the veggies, pepperoni and Italian sausage. Very good as well.

Ordering out, I just get pepperoni most of the time.

If I make it, I'll make pepperoni, bell pepper, onions, jalapenos
or
Buffalo chicken with a blue cheese drizzle.
