I think a masters is worth it. You'll have more schooling than almost anyone you work for which brings a little intimidation and respect.

Not sure a doctorate is worth it though.

I got my Bachelors in 4 years. Took me another 6 to get my masters, though I wasn't so serious.

Both my degrees are in EE, though I turned into a programmer.

It's hard for me to say. I have 3 years left with the Navy before retirement an thier paying for the school so all it's costing me is time. I'll move towards certifications once I'm done with this though.
