I pump away, standing by my fill port, properly monitoring my nozzle. She comes back from wherever it was that she went, with a pile of papers, gives me another death stare and says "you need a mask, you should be arrested" i just look at her, and say "have a nice day", she opens her door a little too fast and bangs the door into the nearby bollard (hint, either pull up a bit more, or park further away to avoid that). and she departs.

we were never closer than about 10 feet apart, the sun was shining, there was a gentle breeze, and I just stood there waiting for the gas tank to get filled.

and the kicker: her vanity plate said "HAVEFUN"

i should be arrested? for what? not being afraid? for enjoying God's beautiful day?

If she was waddling...

ok, that would be the direct approach, and I could decide whether to grant her wish or not.

or she could offer me one from her supply (i carry a few bottles of water in the truck, if you look thirsty, i'll offer you one).

but NO.....

she just jumps to the most drastic solution she can think of: "you should be arrested"

or she could have gotten back in her car after seeing me and driven elsewhere on the property, so as to avoid my uncleanness.

My business partner's son worked for us when he was out of high school for a while, so maybe he was 20, 21, something like that. I guess a woman was driving on the roadway and there was some sort of road rage incident, the woman was apparently honking, tailgating, getting beside his truck, generally raging. His solution? Threw a full beer bottle at her windshield, where I guess, it shattered all over. He said that ended the encounter and he drove off. Boss move, but this was in the days before dash cams.

I had a mask Karen to too. I turned my back to her and dropped my mask. Bent over to pick it up and projectile diarrhea burst forth from my nether regions and coated her mask and hair. I said nothin.

just got a call from Mrs. DAB, who is out running errands, letting me know she was done getting gas and headed home.

same gas station I was at yesterday. no sight or sound of a Karen, just 2 chill guys, also not wearing their magic masks, didn't bother her a bit.
