I can find it....I just can't stand it.

How does one tell if buttermilk has spoiled?

Other than cooking - where you can’t taste it - what good is buttermilk? It’s nasty to drink.

My grandfather (same one I was named for) drank it like it was milk.

My dad would put cornbread in a glass and pour buttermilk over it and eat it for supper. Personally I don't drink anything that sticks to the inside of a glass!

I don’t drink it. I make cornbread with buttermilk. I marinate chicken in it and cube steak. I needed some extra to make cornbread for my dressing. Some cake recipes use buttermilk. I also make hush puppies with buttermilk or beer.

Pappy is long gone. Nothing but great memories except when he passed away from oral cancer. He taught me how to fish, to make hush puppies, pancakes, etc.

Mine taught me to drive when I was 14. Always got to drive home from the golf course. To this day I have no idea if my parents knew. I’ll have to ask my mom before it’s too late

Grandparents are awesome

My grandmother let me drive with her. I had my learners permit.

My grandmom made the best biscuits and had no recipe. A little of this, a little of that and of course buttermilk. No one could seem to duplicate the "recipe".

My grandfather would have been 130 this year, my grandmother 123. My dad would have been 104. Yep, they married very young, I believe my grandfather was 23 and grandmom 16.

April 7, 1972: My grandmother offered me a sip of her buttermilk. Right then and there, I vowed to never go near that stuff again unless it's in fried chicken.

We make pancakes and waffles with buttermilk. Just bought some today, at the second store I went to. The first store was an auto parts store, so they didn't have any.
