Well, finally permanently banned from Corvette forum

Here is the post that put the mod over the edge.

Here is an example of how the uneducated or someone TRYING to blow smoke up someone posteriors gets these ideas.

The educated KNOW that a truly documented born with F.I engine car is worth serious money but simply putting a FI unit on a car does not make this so.

While this system is certainly a very nice set up I hate to see comments like this in an ad. The unit speaks for itself without this nonsense.

They banned all their knowledgeable people. When you see what basic level questions are being unanswered or wrong information given there now, it's plain comedy. That site has gone to hell, and the racist POS mods can have it.

In the past I have made several comments on both how some of the moderators do their jobs, instant vacation and also that ridiculous “Curated Editor” posting that is obviously written by someone that has little Corvette knowledge due to how many incorrect facts they often write. I posted this and why any site called corvetteforum.com could allow that. Got a vacation. Posted that member should ignore it because it was just clickbate. Got a vacation. That site is far more financially driven than most people realize. God forbid you should ever complain about one of the paid sponsors as it is an instant vacation.
There is no democracy there whatsoever. We have more rights complaining about our country’s leadership than you do on the Corvette forum. Now I realize it is an unpaid position but if the membership is unhappy with how they do their jobs the administrator should listen to it as there would certainly be others willing to take on the responsibility.

One of my trips to the woodshed over there occurred shortly after Frankie the Fink got his permanent ban.

Frank saw some posts from members asking for help with issues for which Frank has a lot of knowledge. Of course he couldn’t post a message to help so he reached out to me to post a couple of messages to pass on his help.

I was called out for, wait for it . . .

. . . “Proxy Posting”.

I didn’t even know that was a “thing”.

I don’t know who other people have had problems with there (mods) but I know when 6369vettebuyer gets a hardon for you I think it is just a matter od time before you’re gone. I know he had it in for Frankie as well as me. That guy seems to forget what the whole intent of that forum is—for commeratity (sp) of fellow owners and to help and get help from one another. To me he is a forum Nazi. The ownership there must like him as I believe he is now the Administrator. Oh well not my problem to deal with any longer.

There are still a core of "gentlemen" experts over there that keep members coming back for help, Jim Lockwood is an example in the C2 arena and a handful of others...but year the level of mis-information is alarming. I quit looking after some dolt was advised to install a later C2 headliner in a split window for originality - the two items aren't even close to similar.

I also was hoping CF refugees would invigorate this site but its just not happening.

This site needs more Corvette questions and projects and it will take off.
I stop by here almost every day and your off topic theads do make me laugh and the ability to give good banter without banning threats is definatly a plus, but I don't think of this place is the go to place for Corvette tech info. (yet)

I recently asked about reinstatement on a whim and the response from the head mod was just ridiculous, basically even after two years in exile I'm considered irredeemable. Not to even be given probation....

I think the mantra is we don't care how much bad advice and missing expertise is going on, we just want things quiet and sedate so we don't have to engage.

I was told they monitor PM's over there so I haven't done that. Don't know if that's true. I may have to test it out. If they do, that pretty much takes the "P" out of PM.

Frank, I've plead your case several times over there with an emphasis on the positive contribution you make to the members by sharing your knowledge and experience. They don't want to hear it. They don't even want me to refer to you in my postings.

Of course, this kind of attitude hurts the knowledge exchange they should be promoting but, for them, your permanent ban is not a business decision. It's personal.

We're getting there...this place just needs the heavy nudge towards Corvette related Q&A and it will be the go-to place. The other place will lose (and HAS LOST) its value VERY QUICKLY once actual corvette content starts getting placed here. Almost all of their "knowledgeable" people have been banned and found this place. Give it some time...this place will de-throne the other place.
