We moved to N. Texas 8 years ago and we LOVE IT! I've not yet been to Tennessee yet though. The pictures I've seen are beautiful.

Everyone we know that is either from Texas or moved there has told us the same thing.

Started looking at the area between DFW and Austin.

IMO, being been around the state a bit, I gotta say west coast and the best is Cedar Key on $$$ then around the bend to Apalachicola.....south of Tallahassee......I would hesitate to go much further west along the Florida coast because of Hurry-CAIN patterns....can't fight mommy nature.....
AND the nice thing is, even the heat/humidity is....the breeze helps a LOT....

Once nice thing in TX is once you hit 65 your property taxes are frozen. Mine are set at about $2200 for a 2000 sq/ft house on a typical suburban lot. If I was 64 now it would be over $3500. My neighbor, who is 93, with a similar house pays around $800 a year....
