Is this a good combo?
I want to make some engine mods and I have some parts in mind. I'm hoping to get everything done over the winter so it will be ready to go next spring. I'm not after a specific horsepower number; it makes what it makes. I just want a good, healthy sounding motor that's not a nightmare to drive on the street and is reliable. Also, I should state that my car is a 2005 with 40K+ miles, so am I "too late" to make these upgrades (do I need a rebuild)? Would this make a good combo? I appreciate your thoughts on this.
Here is the parts list: Trick Flow head/cam package p/n:TFS-K306-550-470 LG Super Pro 1 7/8" longtube headers with high-flow cats and 3" mid-pipe LG GT4 exhaust FAST LSXR 102mm intake for LS2 Nick Williams 102mm throttle body Halltech CF102 Beeline Intake package (intake and Beehive shroud) GM LS7 style MAF w/ pigtail to adapt to LS2 MAF LG Super Cool radiator w/ engine oil cooler 160 degree thermostat ...and of course, a tune (Ed, what do you think?) I'm locked into the exhaust...I purchase it a while back. |
