Should I tip the guy who's going to pump out our septic tank?

Seems like I've spent my life unsure of who should be tipped & who shouldn't.

I tend to take care of those who take care of me, regardless of what service/trade/etc. that they are in. It usually pays dividends in the end.

I just found out that the guy doing the pumping is the owner. (small operation) So I didn't think a tip was necessary.

Poured concrete recently. First truck that came the guys didn't do shit besides drop almost dry concrete and haul ass.

Second guy came in and worked his ass off to correct the first guy's dry concrete and to make sure the pour went right.

Second guy left with a 60 dollar tip.

A couple of years ago I had a big ash tree that the ash beetle and killed taken down. It was in the back yard and they could not get a truck back there. So the 3 guys had to take it apart. Took 2 days and they ground the stump and cleaned everything up with no damage. I gave each a nice tip.
