We shot Hornaday 9mm hollow points out of Ruger and Sig pistols, as well as a Ruger PC-9 rifle, at watermelons this past Saturday from 60 yards.
The watermelons actually exploded upon impact. I was in shock as to how dramatic it was.
It was a good day.

Ever notice how you read something and get a specific idea in your head? I thought you were going to shoot at a washer ( fastener , not an appliance ) with that "old weapon".

I like making titles like that...........and I throw them out at work too
I have a few more old rifles/pistols but they need some work and there never serms to be enough time
I do have a damage tag.... as the washer is killing my moss
