to the OP; I just showed your new purchase to our salesman.... he previously sold hot tubs and pools.

He said the one you purchased was fine; though the skimmer included was not one of the better ones.

You stated that the online prices are well hid. Our salesman said that the mfgrs change the names of their hot tub series - almost every year; intentionally. So you'll always have a tough time finding current pricing online. In 12 months, what's current - is now obsolete (as far as pricing guides go).

makes sense. the one i got is a brand new series and this was the first sold for our local dealer.

got it successfully installed yesterday but didnt stay up long enough for it to get to temp. will definitely be in it tonight.
