biggrin Saved a Wendy

I saved a squirrels life yesterday Wendy,I was out grillin some chops and saw the neighbors black lab chasing a squirrel across the yard and was gaining on it,I picked up a frisbee and tossed at the dog and it hit him in the can, that gave the squirrel enough time to get away if I tried to do that again it would never happen, thought my wife was going to fall out of her chair laughing, the dayum squirrel sat in the tree above the dog house shaking his tail and barking at the dog for like an hour.

Our dogs nearly got a squirrel yesterday. The yard guy came yesterday and did some major trimming on several of the trees in our back yard. The squirrel's normal routes of escape were seriously altered, and he didn't realize it until he had two Weimaraners and a German Shepard hot on his heels.
It was hilarious watching the confusion and fear as that squirrel tried to come up with a new plan.

Our two Doxies chase them all the time, but with 4" legs ,they don't have a chance at catching them, they do provide some great laughs.

Our Border Collie gets about a dozen squirrels a year. Never eats them, just grabs them, shakes them until their back is broke or dead. I’ve had to shoot a few that he just broke their backs and they are dragging their hind legs around to get away.

He’s getting slower in his old age (12), he cant outrun them as often but can get them to zig when they should have zagged.

Entertaining I'm sure. Chip chased a squirrel into a neighbors tree this week too. First time he has done that. Normally the squirrels dont get to close due to my cat.

We had a black Lab/Akita mix who loved to chase squirrels. One day she tree'd a squirrel and it fell out of the tree landing about a foot away from her. It startled her so bad she ran one way, the squirrel the other. About twenty feet they both stopped looked back over their shoulders and the chase was back on. I wish I had the camera that day.
