Default Questioning the C8 Z06 now.
My hip is completely ****ed again after the last cortisone shot, and I go back in next Friday for a fresh shot, and I'll then request to have the hip replacement surgery as soon as possible.

So...no ****ing way I was loading my C8 on the trailer to go to the track. Asked a good friend of mine to buy a ride in a 2018 Porsche GT3 (mind you he had a 2022 GT3, but I guess they suck at autocross). He's been racing 15+ years and normally wins his class. He charged me $0, so that was a huge bonus.

This was my first time ever driving his car, and only took 4 laps, and was only 0.400 off his time with zero seat time. This car is so effing easy to drive fast. I still think the C8 and the C8 Z06 are way prettier, and it will cost me about the same money for a 2018-2019 GT3 vs. a 2024-2025 Z06 ($180-190k), but September/October will be here before you know it, so who knows...

'08 monster and '09 3LZ garage queen going nowhere, but the GT3 has my attention, and if my sponsoring dealer ****s with me on the ADM for the Z in September, I may end up in the GT3......Best part.....I flipping fit!

Everybody has their own opinion but the GT3 would be an easy choice for me... and then go to some full size tracks and let it do what it does.

I'm running the full course at Sebring on Feb. 9th in my C8 on sticker Hoosiers. Should be interesting.

Porsche, coupled with the attention to detail with German engineering, is definitely insane. Pound for pound, the Corvettes are not keeping up. Porsche continues to own this sport.

Can't say I understand how a C8 is attractive and a 911 GT3 is ugly but I guess we all have different perspectives.

Didn't say it was unattractive, but I love the fact that the C8 looks like a Ferrari or Lamborghini.

Well, when you get a surgery date, let me know and I'll give you a few pointers on recovery. I had both of mine replaced 4 yrs ago

As of right now, having a few beers, and so ready for bed, because the pain in my hip is so immense, I'm probably 60/40 in favor of the GT3. After all, the flipping Z06 is another 3.6" wider than the C8. Fat cars do not work in this sport.
