A friend, who was into RC planes for a long time, is bailing out of the hobby, he gave me a few from his collection to hang from the ceiling in my garage, plus a few more he's bringing over later.

Those are nice!

I started in the early '80s with RC aircraft. Back then, you had to build them from balsa, cover them, nitro power, etc...they have came a long way these days with the foamies, details, gyro, electric power systems. I get a hankering every once in a while for a warbird to fly.

Those can't be true turbines. That would be 20k of hardware on the table at least. Guessing electric, but beautiful anyway.

Yes, all electric, has some powerful small fans in the jets.
