My 39 YO big brother died back in 1999.

I have been carrying a small rock in my pocket everyday since with the inscription “peace” for the last 21 years and 9 months.

Always find it odd when people start threads like this and people post the complete opposite of what OP asked.

Yes; we get it. You love your wife, kids, dog, etc.

But that's not what OP asked.

I'm with OP in that my Z06 is my most prized possession. I don't have much else, other than my SRT 392 and a bunch of cheap, worthless, powerlifting trophies.

It's been 18 months since I bought it, and still feels brand new to me.

I hate to admit it, since it will doubtless call my mancard into question- but if the OP had not excluded pets, it wouldn't have been the trucks posted.
See, I bought my wife a chihuahua that grew up to weigh TWO WHOLE POUNDS- and adopted me. I'd likely burn the trucks to rescue her... little devil smooth wrapped me up and makes my bad days good just by being there.
My friends give me grief because my dog looks like something from Rodeo Drive...

I have a small treasure box in my safe. It has things in it that most people would call worthless. A shoe horn that my grandfather used to use, an old off brand Zippo style lighter from my other grandfather, An 18K gold ring with my grandfathers initials, an old broken Timex watch. Some old coins without much monetary value. Some cuff links and tie clasps from my uncle. Some of my grandmothers old jewelry that I might one day give to my daughters. This treasure box would be the first thing I grab after I know my family is safe if there were a fire.

I"m an old goat lover too, but no pix....'70 Lemans sport convertible, 462 with DPFI that got it published in High Perf Pontiac Mag....Feb '95......that car was totally modified, disc brakes, 12 bolt rear, 400 trans, sold it back in '98 or so....it was the tow car for a power boat I took the kids out on.....

then/now the '72 vette convertible, nothing stock stem/stern wheels/roof, NOTHING it was burgundy but it's now green thanks to a couple idiots in parking lots....

I also have been slowly selling off my extensive nautical antiques collection, new england whaling spear, brass navy compasses, ships radio room clock, cannon shells, etc.....

My Father gave me his "Good luck Ring" that he got from a friend serving in China prior to WWII. He wore it through 2 wars and never took a hit. I guess is worked.

Let me put it to you this way... Assuming we are awake and fully clothed when the 5 minute GTFO comes we would be gone in less than 2 minutes. I would grab the love of my life, and the box. The box contains things like insurance policies, passports, car titles, cash etc. And a weapon with spare mags and ammo. And a white light source with spare batteries. And a week's worth of meds for both of us. We would pile into the Subaru because it is easier to sleep in than anything else we own and be gone. That's it and the rest can either be replaced or stored in our memories. Again, stuff is just stuff; it does not define who we are as people because we are self aware enough that we are not defined by the shit we own.
