Default So, this finally happened...

Finally got the kittens...

They’ve been here about 18 hours now. Finally making an appearance.

They had their final vet check yesterday. All cleared. They’re about 10 months old and are at 13 (grey) and 14 (orange) lbs each.

Picasso and DaVinci. (They already had names.) They are litter mates.

I’ll find out over the next few days as to how well they know their names. They were in a foster home with a few other cats, so I’m not sure. That’ll decide if we rename them or not.

Didn't you say that some people call cats with these kind of paws four wheel drive cats? How about Blazer and Bronco?

Damn, the thought just crossed my mind about how much more damage they could do to your furniture, curtains, etc. with those extra claws. Hope that doesn't happen.

And how much extra will they charge to clip them?

Their foster mom said she hasn’t had a problem with them clawing up stuff. Just in case, I already have rolls of double sticky tape to cover important stuff now and anything that shows any hint of clawing later. The don’t like the sticky feeling on their paws.

And I clip nails myself. It’ll take them a few times before they’re used to having it done, I’m sure.

I’ve had pretty good success with training the cats I have owned NOT be assholes.

Double sided tape works well for keeping them from using furniture as scratching posts. Trimming their nails regularly helps also.
The fact that you took both of them together will be a big factor too since just one would get bored and lonely when none of their human servants is around

I had a cat named "Toes" that was just like yours ( orange ). He could climb up trees and climb down trees just like a squirrel

Great personality too, more like a dog than a cat

Maybe, but I'd say it's a push when it comes to peeing on the carpet, amirite?

Well, I guess I should open the box I put Tommy and Tammy in to mail them to you. They've been in there for several weeks now...
