Saw and worked on many Nova Hatchbacks. The Chevelle/Malibu posted was a one-off custom. The General never built one.
Fun Fact: the Nova-based last year 1974 Pontiac GTO was available as a hatchback.

Guy I worked with back in the day's wife had a 350 Nova. She went abroad to visit family for a month and he slipped in a 454 and didn't tell her.

She almost crashed the first time she drove it. It sounded strange, so she gunned it to clear it out, and did a posi-burnout and almost took out a phone pole. She was pissed, initially.
