Consider yourself lucky. we did get all of that. Including 75 plus mph winds for many hours.

Here on the First Coast, we usually get hit with the leftovers of the hurricane and that's lucky for us. Last one that caused major issues was Irma. Had to let the flooding go down in Riverside, downtown, San MArco, along the river and clear the fallen trees off the roads. That took two months to clear the trees and limbs here in Orange Park.

All good in Winter Garden west of Orlando.....rain a few hard gusts but that's about it...did have a window leak; I'll deal with it when things dry out.

Good luck to you all.
I know of no one who has moved to omaha, or nebraska, for their SEP weather.
I know a few that have left due to their winter weather.

omaha is a great place to live if you have to live there, as is kali,,

Here on Merritt Island we had an easy time last night, minor rain and wind. The eye sat over us most of the day today, and now the western side is showing its stuff. Probably 65-70mph sustained winds in the last hour or so. Still not anticipating any significant damage.

We had just come down to get some work done on our house prior to moving down in October. Then Irma rolled in. We left town early just before it hit. I came back about two weeks later and there was still debris (downed trees, etc) piled up on both sides of A1A We didn’t get any flooding at our house but there were areas on the island that flooded

Wife's uncle's house on Cape Coral had 4' of water in it. All the furniture and car, total loss. My sisters' homes in Ft. Myers, water just below the floor. Four cars total loss.

Dad's car, a 2004 Lincoln, was high and dry. It's listed on Autotrader and I just increased the ax'ing price.

Reba's 65 Galaxie, in garage north of Miami, also high and dry.

Thanks. My Dad's in an assisted living campus, very new buildings built like brick shitters. The grounds were filled high enough to keep the parking lots above flood elevation. My sisters live in an old double-wide community, Google Earth puts it at elevation 3 although it's probably above 10. They have a two-story community building so rode it out there.
