How many times have you had your skull buzzed?

Up to age 12 or so, I used to get crew cuts from the local barber. I hated them.

By the time I graduated HS, I could reach up behind me and touch my hair.

I also shaved my beard off for the last time in 1991.

NEVER for all my younger years, had sideburns, mutton chops, mustache ...longer hair....but as years went by, got thin on top and got tired of the maintanance hell with it, started shaving, more comfy.....

then after a summer in Florida some 25 years ago, I started shaving my head and sides too, going bald for the most part....hit it about once a month these daze, shaved my mustache also, minimum maintenance.....

Twice. As a teen my hair touched my shoulders, and both my mother and maternal grandmother each bet me $100.00 I would not shave it. They lost and I bought my first shotgun with the proceeds.
Many years later my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and the entire family got buzzed when she lost her hair. She is a survivor, and we all grew it back.

The last time the wife buzzed me was about a year and a half ago. No haircuts since then.

I get a #7 all over every couple months. No need to comb it. Kind of an all weather haircut.

Used to go the barber uptown every 6 months. Kool guy, looked to be a retired/alcoholic/Navy cook. Can't say, but it was fun discussing current events with him. He only charged $5 when everyone else wanted $20 so I'd give him $10 and say keep the change.

Liked him too much to watch him slowly wither away so this was the last $10 I spent on my hair about twenty years ago -

When I was a kid (Army brat), my dad woukd get me a "whiffle" haircut, still get them occasionally, usually leave about a 1/4" of hair.

Many times while in the Army. I keep it pretty close clipped now too. I don’t have to pay for haircuts anymore
