Looks tough! That hood and front end are a good combination.

Side note: I have no idea what the metal thing with the rivets pertains to.

i figures it out!!!! Yaaaaaay the metal reinforcement band is on all newer vettes. it is a thin strip of metal around the headlight opening i guess to stiffen it and prevent it from sagging. All with the newer vettes look into the opening and you can see the rivets. that is the easy part. Since the 97 didn't come with now i have to find one.

All of the body work is done finally. I threw some base and mid coat down yesterday. i was not happy with black on the battery cover so i changed that and sprayed the headlight lids.

Looks awesome Phil. Did you think anymore about the Ghost stuff after I left? The color looks great on the headlight covers. You're building a show winner...

I'm going to try to knock out all my school work before I leave but holler if you need me to help lift the hood or any of the panels off. I'll take a few minutes out and roll over to help you !

portdawg came up with the idea of putting a jake head on the rear of the vehicle kind of like gary did with his corvette symbols on the side of the car so u cant see them but from diff angles.

biggrin

i was surfing the internet considering if i should use red or orange pigment in my clear to create my images and i stumbled across something that blew my mind its not as interesting as what came in the box today but the thousands of vette images i have looked at i have not seen a single car with this idea. This will be a awesome addition.

Default Finally Some progress

I have finally had some progress. I really need to quit one job for awhile. I got the upper radiator cover painted and I got the frame rails sanded and painted with por 15. I really wish I could have sprayed the stuff to get a bit better finish but I was not going to take the car completely apart. The interior of the engine bay looks like a brand new vehicle. I feel better since i am now putting it back together.
