He also posted that they made the switch from XP to Win 7 Pro 18 months ago

I am no expert in the HIPA arena, but it sounded like a Sales Pitch to sell some new equipment. That is why I posted here. Seems there are some well experienced IT guys here.

Note that they ended mainstream life cycle support in 2015 but extended support goes through Jan 2020. Link.

Thing is, they can upgrade to Win10 without too much problem, it's not a big deal. I'd recommend they at least try it on one of their PC's and see how it goes.

I work for a major medical organization and have a win 7 pro machine. Yes new machines are 10 but those of us with 7s do not have to upgrade
