I'd prefer a C5 Z06 with some weight reduction and an LS7 based 440.

That's my dream car.

• Silver 2003 C5 Z06
• Transmission swap to a built automatic (I ain't tracking this thing, I just press the gas and aim baby).
• Mild converter. Maybe 2800rpm? (I ain't taking this thing to the strip and looking for the best 60 foot time, I'm just cruising around town with uneccesary power like the typical middle aged slob Corvette owner)
• Mild cam profile to match converter choice
• 440 or 441 C.I. LS7 based motor
• Headers WITH cats and exhaust with decent mufflers (no straight pipes or obnoxious faux mufflers the size of cats)
• Sticky rubber
• 4 point cage. No annoying door bars
• 4 point harness. No annoying between the crotch belt
• Comfy seats for my old fat ass

That's my dream car. Has been since the C5 days, minus the LS7 since it didn't exist yet.

By the time we're in our 50s and the house is paid off (making extra payments to get it paid off in 15 vs 30 years) and I could get it we'll probably all be driving stupid electric cars. Fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I was really excited, and thought, you know, I might go ahead and trade in the c-5, until I found the deal killer.....no body side mouldings offered on this car.

That's cool and all that, but to be candid, I am not down for putting that much thought into a driver. If it's the right color and looks good sitting on the lot, I might get one. But I wouldn't be that picky for something that is going to see road salts in the winter and be a magnet for old ladies to hit in parking lots.
