I don't know if there's much to gain Kim, you are going to risk cutting through the clear coat, then you're in deep doo-doo!. You'd be better off to have the clear cut and buffed by pros who know when to stop. JMHO....

I didn't say DON"T do it, just be careful if you do. Heaven forbid! What grit of wet paper did you use? Did you use the slow dripping hose for wet, that's the easiest. And finally try to avoid sharp edges, that's where you can easily cut through the clear. Carry on Wonder Woman!

i used 2000 grit. soaked it in a bucket of water with dish soap until it curled. used a soft rubber sanding block. wet the area of the car, used light strokes in the direction of the wind. kept the car and sandpaper soaking wet. wiped it down every few minutes to see how im doing. dried it, then used my PC with orange pad, orange polish; white pad, white polish; repeat until happy. then buffed it with the grey pad and purple polish. checked it with the light several times. i stayed away from the edges |

Howdy peeps. Can I have two whiskeys straight up? Hold the glass, just dump it into my gaping maw and leave the bottle.
