Default Attempt at product photography
We made a mock up of the album and gift box and I did a quick shoot.

What's funny to me is that it's sitting on a crappy piece of black foam core but with the right exposure, it looks like a nice surface. I also did almost nothing with lighting. Just some reflected light using some large florescent fixtures.

Granted, it was color corrected in Photoshop but otherwise very little manipulation. Not too shabby for 15 minutes of work...

Wife did a phenomenal job mocking it up. I did the design work. She did the meticulous job of cutting , bending, gluing, etc. the CD itself s indistinguishable from the real thing. We are expecting sample boxes any day now. I still need to finalize all the credits for the CD Package.

My only criticism is, is it just that horrific and offensive for the box to say Merry Christmas? I'd also like the CD to say AustinblueSChristmas. Also not digging the Xmas on the website. Spell it out. Other than that, it looks very nice.

People can order the boxes either way. From a marketing perspective, Austin is waaaaaay left. I chose to mock up the least controversial box to avoid the inevitable arguments that distract from the sales of the product.

An Austin Blue Christmas sounds better to my ear and has some history behind it.

Finally austinbluexmas.com is short for social media use amd to fit on artwork.

Everything is thought out and for a purpose!
