Default Anyone have Hartford for their car insurance?
They just quoted me $1500 less per year for the same coverage as State Farm. Any obvious reason why not to go with them?

Shit I pay less than $1500 for year long extended coverage on 3 vechicles one of which is a 07 ZO6 Vette! (also a 10 4x4 PU and a 11 SUV)

Why is yours so high did you run a presidential motorcade off the road or something similar?

3 cars, 3 drivers, one being a single male under 25. And I have a 110 mile daily commute.

I have them thru AARP and they have been reasonable. They were $1500 less for full coverage on three vehicles and our homeowners than Nationwide, who we were with for 25 years. The Bride rear-ended another SUV 2 years ago in a snow storm and our rates DID go up but not by much. We had only been with them for 1 year at that point so I wasn't expecting to get away scott-free.

That is what I am thinking. I have had State Farm on the house for over 30 years and on the cars for 10. The rates just keep climbing. time for a change.

so do I; but have recinded my AARP membership; though the Hartford policies continue on at the great rate.

Once you get covered under Hartford via AARP; you do not need to continue supporting the AARP after that.

They will quote a great price to start,then watch the amount increase every policy due date. I had them for 3 years and dumped them for Progressive.
