I would suggest the leaders of those communities begin at some point to stress the value of a completed high school education and the merits of having an honest job or 2. And faith leaders backing that message, and one of social mores and assuming responsibility for one's own destiny. And artists from those communities to cease glorifying violence and machismo in their work as the youth who listen to them also revere them as role models. And I wish organizations like Black Lives Matter would stop protesting the injustices in society and instead teach their constituency how not to get their ass kicked by the Police. For starters.

I don’t think any of that is realistic. Shop owners will run for their lives and hope insurance covers the damage. Walmart and Target aren’t going to hire mercs to protect their stores. Too expensive and they’d need to be highly trained and maintain their skills. Even if they did, should they be present all the time? That’d be a nice image for the average shopper. Would you shop there?

How can it be prevented????? First thing is to have enough of a force present that can quickly stop it. Second is to arrest and jail those that destroy property. Third is to fine and sentence those arrested. Finally, those flaming the fire like AOC, The muslems daughter, Maxine Waters, Al and Jesse, Moore and the like need to be arrested for inciting a riot. If they feel pain for their inappropriate behavior they will change their way. Remember dad's belt?

That ain’t preventative and it would only escalate matters until dead were strewn about everywhere.

How about this hypothetical. Rioters focus on police precincts only, the cause of their anger, and it makes police forces everywhere ensure, to prevent a recurrence of what’s happening now, that they treat criminals how the law intended under our system of justice, without committing crimes themselves, making them no better than the criminals they arrest.

I don’t know. It could never happen because it would require an organized effort, and mobs are anything but organized.

Just something to think about. Sadly there are no easy answers.
