Yes.

Friend of my dad's. He went to his brothers workplace and shot him (dead). When the cops were closing in, he shot himself in the head. It was over money.

Also know a few people that have been murdered, several suicides and 3 that died in aviation accidents.

As a kid, I saw a cop killing a robber with his long nightstick.

My neighbor had a roommate that killed his GF, took her to the hospital, and claimed it was a suicide.

Saw many in Iraq, but the most impressive kill was when an Army Bradley shot two terrorists with the 25mm cannon. War movies aren't shit, not even 0.1%

I met a Vietnam Vet that killed 2 VCs with his bare hands; he fought for his life.

Didn't AntFarmer kill a person?

She probably has ears like her brother which is why she wears her hair that way.

I was mostly a PR&C guy at the other place, I know AF2 was despised by many but don’t remember seeing any of his posts, he must have been a flash in the pan like STS was here.

He, too, was a POS and did supposedly do time for a DUI that killed his passenger.

I partnered up with one for about 6 months back in the 1970s. Also had one other in the local but never worked on a site with him.

Knew one that worked at a big well known chemical plant I spent a lot of time at.

A person I used to like hit and killed a person walking on the road and took off, but the cops got him a couple days later.

The worst was a kid I went to school with, we always considered him a serious nut case how he got in the army I do not know!

He went to Vietnan and based on the stories (which I had no problem believing) he told when he came home he killed many people and no I do not mean just NV soldiers.
He somehow brought home a jar of gold teeth and a functioning real AK47. Got in a bit of trouble and did prison time and died from diabetes soon after he got out of prison.

A couple others, I knew some interesting people.

Known a few over the years. Doug Jaccard worked at a country store/farm supply in my hometown back in the 80's. Certified nutjob and a likely culprit in the arson of a friend's barn. I served in the military with Chuck Wilson. Actually sold him a motorcycle. Dude had been in my house....

Based on documentaries, MANY soldiers and Marines killed anything that showed up in the line of fire. Some Lts also got that treatment

If laying down fire and destruction at precise locations in far away lands qualifies, me. Killed, yes. Murdered, no.

Brenda Spencer... "I Don't Like Mondays".
Danny Alstadt... Played basketball in his driveway the day before he massacred all but one of his family.

I grew up with this guy. He was pretty crazy even when he was 15.

Yes to both.
Several friends and relatives in the military. They don't talk about it and I don't ask.
Guy we used to party with moved to Atlanta many years ago. Found out later he killed a dude and cut him up high on drugs one night.
Friend of my brother's shot and killed a burglar when he was sixteen years old. He kept a framed copy of the newspaper article on the living room wall.
Friend from high school shot his girlfriend and then himself. She had cancer and was in the last stages. He left a note on the mailbox to call the police. Said he couldn't bear the thought of living without her. Always one of the most laid back guys I ever knew, and a hell of a guitar player.
Guy I worked with for several years found out his much younger wife was cheating on him. Killed her and her grandfather when he caught up to her at the grandparents house. He's still in jail.
Another three or four drunk (or drugged) driving.

I don't personally know anyone who's committed a murder, but I used to work in a field where I frequently had to interact with people who had serious criminal histories. It's always a bit surreal and can be a little jarring. Especially when you see the human side of these individuals and realize that, despite the horrible actions they've committed, they're still people.

One thing I can't stress enough is the importance of being aware of the people you're associating with. If you're ever in a situation where you're questioning someone's character or past, don't hesitate to do a bit of research. There are plenty of public digital resources available for a reason. It's always better to be safe than sorry!

Remember, not everyone has the best intentions. So, take the time to trust your gut and look into anything that seems off. It's a wild world out there, and the more informed you are, the better prepared you'll be.

Yes, two immediately come to mind. Maybe more...

One murder, the other killed (accidentally).

I went to HS with a guy named William Dean Christensen look him up, easy find complete with pix of him.....I met him again at a Chevy dealer in town, and he too had a solid axle Corvette mine was a '60 and his was '58? anyway we struck up a friendship again, and so he introduced me to another guy who became a federal cop.....and the cop and I are still friends to this day.....a fellow hotrodder who owns many cars.......

Bill C. was guilty of a few murders.....nuff said...look up his name, his folks lived in Bethesda Md. right next the HS we attended......his father was VERY high level in some agency like CIA.....if not them for sure.....

I’ve come to terms with that.

I was friends with Gary Alstadt. We played basketball in his driveway.

His brother Danny came home one evening from a party and proceeded to kill mom, dad, his sister and then torched the place. He hacked up Gary bad enough such that Gary continues to live out of a wheelchair now. He finally offed himself in jail. He killed the dog with a hatchet. F him to hell.

Boomtown Rats - I don’t like Mondays. Brenda Spencer was two years behind me in high school. She was always an odd duck. I graduated HS in 78 and was putzing around doing JC on the cheap in early 1979. Nice to pay $25/unit for calc and physics. Came home one day to a locked down neighborhood. Brenda decided to open fire on our elementary school.

Both of my grandpa’s brothers died in jail and my dad took their secrets to the grave, but it was pretty ugly according to my aunts.
