It depends on the judge. My half-Korean wife says "yes". But when I go to family gatherings of some full-Korean friends of mine, some of the old people laugh when I use the chopsitcks, and say I don't use them right. I have asked numerous times for them to show me what I am doing wrong, and they have never been able to show me the difference between what I do with them, and what they do with them.

At the end of the meal, I have no problem shoving all kinds of Asian food into my pasty-white pie hole with nothing more than a pair of chopsticks, so I don't really give a shit if a small group of "old country" Asians have some nit-pick problem with how I handle them that is obviously so esoteric, even they can't explain it.

FWIW: I have been eating with chopsticks regularly since I met my wife, in 1983. You figure out if I know how to use them or not.
