The first flight of "Operation Fly Formula" landed on Sunday in Indiana. The flight was part of an effort by the Department of Defense to use commercial air cargo to transport baby formula to those in need.

The 78,000 pounds of powdered baby formula are the equivalent of up to 1.5 million 8-ounce bottles of three particular formulas: Alfamino Infant, Alfamino Junior, and Gerber Good Start Extensive HA, according to WRTV. Additional flights are expected to be announced in the coming days.


National Economic Council Director Brian Deese said on Sunday that the flight has enough formula to fill 15% of the need for formula throughout the country.

On the subject of formula, there are many doctor approved substitutes if someone wants to take ten minutes to make them.

I believe we got cows milk as a baby, or there's goat milk. Why has everyone gone to formula? Tits are #1, but as stated, some women either don't lactate or don't lactate enough. And in most places it's the WIC formula that is out, the other brands are there. At WallyWorld the WIC shelf was empty, but the other brand's shelf was full. Change the rules and bam! formula shortage over.


This is all self-imposed bullshit anyway. We probably need to send mail-in ballots to all these women as they are probably too distraught to leave the house.

The most bothersome thing I became aware of is the fact that they are not simply providing nutrition. They are tailoring the chemistry for specific purposes. Stop fking with kids and babies.

So for 15 years there has been endless bragging about and public shaming about breastfeeding in public....yet now there isn't enough formula to go around? The number of women who can't produce milk is small compared to those who can, shouldn't even be mentioned in the conversation of shortages. If the able breastfeed, the unable should have plenty. So for thousands of years before baby formula if a woman couldn't breastfeed their baby would die. Not a good way for a species to propagate don't you think.
