While the mass media is screaming right now that OMG, THE U.S. HAS MORE CONFIRMED CASES THAN ANY OTHER COUNTRY!!! here's what they choose to ignore.

Here are three graphs. Using the exact same data for confirmed number of cases, the first graph of total cases makes the U.S. look REALLY SCARY. When you normalize that same data into a case rate - the only valid way to compare between different countries - it changes the story just a bit.

The third graph of normalized deaths also says we're doing pretty damn good in the U.S.

It's time to start relaxing things and stop destroying the economy, lives and businesses.

And even Dr. Birx now admits that any death that occurs that has coronavirus suspected of being present (doesn't have to be the actual cause of death, just maybe present) and that counts as a coronavirus death. I've been saying that they have been doing this for weeks now, and it's impossible to deny this now. If you look at the total number of deaths over the last two months in America versus what we average during those same two months over the last five years, what do you think you'll find? Remember that graph I posted up that showed the number of pneumonia deaths totally nose-diving a month or so ago? Of course, because those are now coronavirus deaths.

Of course, I'm not going to hurt my arm or shoulder patting myself on the back, because everyone with a lick of sense was saying the same thing as I was back in late March. If you want butt hurt, check in with those who believed the hype, and still can't admit they were wrong.

Fortunately we all know there is no politics involved in any of this virus stuff, otherwise I would have been concerned about these articles....

Projected death toll keeps getting revised down. Newest estimate is on par with annual flu deaths, and there isn't going to be a giant shortfall for hospital beds and ventilators. Huh, imagine that. I'm sure CNN hates even reporting it but they are.

And still they want another month added on for shutdown.
Our NC governor probably announce until june any day now even though we're about at peak.
Anyone watch noon news, lines all over country waiting for food already both in cars and on foot. Good idea let's shut everything down then have people stand next each other...

12 deaths state wide today.

https://coronavirus.health.ok.gov/

We are still behind on testing, not sure WTF is taking so long to get POC or antibody testing.

If we were able to widely test, those that are immune could get back to working etc. Some indications that immune response not as high in younger people. Almost as if there is a correlation between minor symptoms and low immune response.

NC DOT cut projects from 2.7 billion to 675 million for next year due to loss of gas tax, estimated 250 million less by June. Pray we don't get a hurricane the next couple of years as won't be a dime to fix infrastructure. I'm waiting for the loss in sales and income tax by local municipalities to come up, the local city is in hock up to their eyeballs already. The incentives being paid out are not taxable. People will be paying bills

I got out today because I had a few errands, including getting my state inspection for my car but it turns out I don't need it this time. New law apparently I forgot about. Anyway by any measure our state/city "lock-down" isn't anything of the sort. Lots of people and vehicles out and about, stores seem quite busy, and the are back to working on my main access road, widening it to 5 lanes apparently, was just two lanes with ditches on each side. I'm sure our city is missing some revenue in sales tax, but at least we haven't totally shit all over our economy.

I was out running a couple of errands today. Grand Rapids is a ghost town. Traffic is a fraction of what it normally is and most businesses are shut down. It is downright eerie.
