Doug, everyone likes something different. Some people collect antique dishes, or Hummels, or cars, or tools.....or guns.

People who collect old dishware probably aren't afraid of not having access to food, they just like to collect dishes. My good friend and long time neighbor ended up with a couple big safes FULL of guns he had collected over the years. I doubt he ever shot most of them. He wasn't afraid of anything as far as I could tell, he simply collected what appealed to him. He also had about 15 or so classic cars. I don't think that means he was scared of buses.
